The Little Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe (Loomis and Peck / Durrie and Peck, Philadelphia / New Haven, 1847). Size: 2.5" x 3.25". Unique Feature: Library Stamp to which it had been donated. Acquired from book dealer who acquired it during a Friends of the Library sale.







CHITS and a CHINAMAN by Robert J Pearsall (Winthrop Press, 1914-1915). Size: 2.25" x 2.75





POETRY:


POEMS AND PLAYS by Robert Browning (Robert K. Haas, Inc. Publishers (formerly Little Leather Library Corp.) Little LuxArt, New York) (1920s). Size: approx. 3” x 4” Rocio's Gift.



RELIGION:

The New Testament (American Bible Society, 1853. Comes with a typed note indicating it was borne by a soldier during the Civil War). Size: 2-1/8" x 3.5"







PETIT PAROISSIEN (Paris, no date but with inscribed year of 1860). Size: 2.5” x 3-3/8”

Handsomely bound in brown, blind-stamped Morocco with its edges stained red and stamped with the repeating device of a small gilt-stamped cross. The edge has gold-stamped figures from the binder's work. It also has what seems to be a metal clasp but I don't know if that's a complete clasp. Lovely endpapers; book comes from the library of noted marbling scholar Phoebe Easton.

1926 PORTMONNA KALENDER (Sweden). Size: 1.25" x 3-1/8"
